Dating apps can appear intimidating, but for most modern daters, they are the first port of call for those seeking romance, whether you’re looking to find the one or simply seeking a light-hearted fling.
With endless options – from reigning favourites Bumble, Happn and Tinder, to more niche offerings like Uniform Dating (yes, that’s exactly what it sounds like) and age-specific apps like Lumen, there really is something for everyone. However, like with many things in life, using dating apps often proves a lot easier for some than others.
New research from Happn has revealed that this is particularly the case for those named Tom and Charlotte, who were found to be the most popular couple names. The location-based search app came to the result after analysing the top ten names of couples who have met through their dating app against the names of some of the most followed celebrity couples in the spotlight at the moment.
So if you’re a Tom or a Charlotte, chances are you could end up finding success on the app. You may even go on to form a beautiful marriage just like Tom Hardy and Charlotte Riley.
The top names were closely followed by Matthew and Sarah who came in second, while the names of future the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge William and Kate sat firmly in third place. Meanwhile Daniel and Rachel (like popular celebrity couple Rachel Weisz and Daniel Craig) came in fourth and the names of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Harry and Meghan, were the seventh most popular couple names on the list.
