If, like us, you’ve fantasied about channeling your inner Audrey Hepburn and having breakfast at Tiffany’s then it’s your time to shine, as the famous jewellery brand has announced the launch of its first European Blue Box Café.
The iconic café was first launched in New York City, within the Tiffany flagship store on Fifth Avenue back in 2017, but after experiencing huge success over the years, the brand has decided to expand the concept internationally – with the latest opening in Harrods this week.
The London branch will be the fourth Blue Box Café as additional outlets have also opened Shanghai and Hong Kong since the New York launch.
Speaking of the new opening, Richard Moore, divisional vice president, global store design and creative visual merchandising of Tiffany & Co said: ‘We are excited to introduce the Tiffany Blue Box Café to Europe – and it seems only fitting to do so at Harrods, one of the world’s most iconic department stores.’
He added: ‘We have a long-standing presence in London and by introducing the Tiffany Blue Box Café here, we offer our customers in this city yet another way to immerse themselves in the world of Tiffany.’
For those who aren’t familiar with the Blue Box Café, the concept was inspired by the 1961 film Breakfast At Tiffany’s in which Audrey Hepburn looks lustfully through the store window of the brand’s flagship with a coffee and croissant in hand.
However, rather than being on the outside and looking in, guests can enjoy the glamourous experience by visiting the Blue Box Café for breakfast, afternoon tea or dinner in a room full of beautiful Tiffany blue interiors that will make you feel like you’re actually inside a giant Tiffany box.
Themed dishes at the café include The Central Park Salad, The Big Apple, The Tiffany Bird’s Nest and The Blue Box Celebration Cake, all served on the signature Color Block china, and Tiffany’s Home & Accessories collection will also be available to purchase, so you can take a little piece of your luxurious visit home with you.
The Blue Box Café will open on Valentine’s Day, Friday 14 February, and is now taking bookings at tiffany.co.uk. We’re already planning our visit.
