The most Instagrammable hotel in the world has been revealed

Whether we’d like to admit it or not, most people’s holiday highlight nowadays is making our social media followers jealous with regular shots of incredible scenery and lavish locations.

Sound familiar? You might want to get packing, because Luxury Travel Advertiser has just named the most Instagrammable hotel in the world.

Anantara Kihavah, a villa resort in – you guessed it – the Maldives, has received the title after gaining an overwhelming amount of votes in the aforementioned travel insider’s inaugural contest, which saw 121,000 online votes cast. The hotel received a staggering 45,385 and it isn’t hard to believe why – it’s seriously gorgeous.

‘I would like to thank Luxury Travel Advisor’s many, many voters for recognising the unparalleled beauty of our island,’ said the hotel’s general manager, Dylan Counsel.

‘We’ve been lucky to have award-winning landscapers, architects and interior designers working in harmony to perfect our surrounds, and their good work is enhanced everyday by the resort team who take care of our island, reefs and ocean with such dedication and add the small touches that perfect the guest experience.’

In true Maldives style, the hotel is surrounded by the dreamy sapphire sea known as the Indian Ocean and made up of eighty luxurious thatched-roof villas with private pools. As the name suggests, the resort is situated on Kihavah Huravalhi, the most pristine Maldivian islands, and is just a short 30-minute seaplane flight away from Malé and Velana International Airports. But that’s not all – in fact, you haven’t even heard the best bits yet.

The hotel is home to an underwater restaurant where guests can admire the sealife as they dine, and also has an observatory offering stargazing sessions with an in-house astronomer perfect for a romantic getaway. If that wasn’t enough, guests can also enjoy a swim with dolphins, turtles and manta rays.

Safe to say you’ll have enough Instagram content to last for a very long time.
