Rochelle and Marvin Humes’ The Hit List has been renewed for another season

From the very first episode, Rochelle and Marvin Humes‘ BBC One programme The Hit List had the nation hooked. The combination of a classic quiz show format, endless playlists of great music, and of course, the duo’s on-screen chemistry made it a must-watch for families across the country – and now it’s been renewed for season two.

The BBC confirmed the news in a statement which read: ‘Our Saturday night music quiz The Hit List will be returning to BBC One, with @marvinhumes and @rochellehumes as the hosts,’ and according the Rochelle, she and her husband couldn’t be more excited to get back to work.

‘We are really excited to tell you we are BACK on your screens again this year for series 2, sooner than we could have wished for. SO chuffed you loved the first series. Thanks for your support,’ she wrote to fans on Twitter.

The game, which sees contestants racing under increasingly intense pressure to ‘name that tune’, in a bid to win a cool £10,000, is also currently looking for audience members who are prepared to ‘dress to impress’ and attend the recordings of the next batch of episodes. Filming takes place at BBC Scotland Pacific Quay in Glasgow, and the (free) tickets are standing room only. Up for it? Register your interest here.

‘It’s a real scream-at-the-telly show for all ages. And it’s about music so it’s our home territory,’ Rochelle told YOU of the show’s recipe for success back in June.

And from the sounds of it, any day that the couple, who share two daughters, Alaia-Mai and Valentina, get to spend working together is a career dream come true.

‘The instant I met Rochelle, I knew she was the woman I wanted to be with,’ Marvin revealed. ‘I knew I had to show her I would be a man who would always stand by her side.’ Aww!
