One trend that’s not going anywhere in 2022 is the Breton-striped jumper. Cosy and practical, yet still extremely chic, these knits are a great winter-to-spring buy, and there are lots of brilliant options on the high street.
An oversized Breton jumper looks great teamed with more figure-hugging bottoms, such as skinny leather trousers or slim-fit jeans. Conversely. a more fitted jumper can be worn with boyfriend jeans and joggers, or tucked into a voluminous skirt, for a simple but stylish look.
Striped jumpers have always been a popular staple among fashion editors, and recently Instagram has been awash with nautical knitwear from brands such as & Other Stories, Cos and Arket.
