We’re well and truly living in the 90s again when it comes to fashion trends, from bucket hats and hair clips to slip dresses and scrunchies. Knitted vest tops, or sweater vests, started working their way back into our wardrobes towards the end of 2020, and they don’t seem to be going anywhere anytime soon. Granted, it’s a trend we thought we’d never see on anyone other than Chandler Bing via re-runs of Friends and men over the age of 80, but the knitted vest has fast become the most surprising must-have autumn staple.

I text David to tell him I’m so nervous about moving and marrying him that I wake at 4am every day, stomach churning. Even the dogs are still snoring. I’ve never been vulnerable like this with him before. I have always put on a brave face, leaving him to read about my insecurities later. But he surprises me by being incredibly supportive.
