M&S is offering its biggest ever Valentine’s Day saving with this year’s meal deal – you could save up to £16.50. For £20 shoppers can tuck into a starter, main, side, dessert and a bottle of drink or box of chocolates. Look out for red and pink packaging in stores from February 9, which is when the deal will launch.

Starter include Leek & Cheese Souffle Tarts or Duck Parfait with Plum Glaze, mains feature Rump Steak with Peppercorn Sauce or Salmon & Prawn En Croute, there’s a load of sides to choose from, including Sweet Potato Fries and Mac and Cheese, plus desserts such as Love Heart Churros, Billionaires Pots and Raspberry Profiteroles. Throw in delicious wine and chocolates, and you’ll be full for a while!

Waitrose’s £20 Dinner for Two includes a starter, main, side, dessert and your choice of a bottle of fizz, wine or box of chocolates. To whet your appetite, some of your delectable options include Heston from Waitrose Bloody Mary Prawn Cocktail for starter, Vegan Beet Wellington or Rump Steaks with Chimichurri Butter for main and Raspberry Cheesecakes for dessert.

Finish things off with a slice of New York Vanilla Cheesecake and wash it all down with a bottle of Morador Malbec. Oh, and save yourself £10.75 in the process.

There are 32 products to chose from, including calamari, a burger kit, plant-based Wellingtons, heart-shaped potato croquettes and raspberry and passion fruit cheesecake slices. The offer is for Clubcard members only – yet another reason to get yourself one if you haven’t already.

For Aldi’s Valentine’s meal deal, there are four three-course menus to choose from (including a vegan option), each consisting of a starter, main and dessert, plus the option to add a bottle of wine. The cheapest option comes in at £2.59 per person and includes a heart-shaped mini garlic pizza bread, heart-shaped lobster pasta and mini heart-shaped pancakes. Add a bottle of Costellore Prosecco Vino Frizzante and the total is still under £5 per person, making Aldi’s the best value supermarket meal deal by far.
