Superdrug’s £12.99 version of Olaplex is getting rave reviews

If there’s one hair treatment that seems to be everyone’s favoruite, it is cult product Olaplex.

The brand has been hailed by everyone from Hollywood stars like Drew Barrymore to every influencer under the sun as being a lifesaver for hair that’s in need of a little TLC – so it’s no wonder it has built such a strong following.

The treatment mask is known for working miracles on hair that has been damaged by bleaching, dyeing and even heated styling tools, repairing and strengthening it following bond breakage.

The genius product has long been available as an in-salon treatment but recently, the brand launched a shampoo and conditioner to their range which is sold to the public.

As you would expect, it’s been a huge hit ever since, with double-quick sales and rave reviews not only for its incredible results but also for its sulphates, parabens, gluten-free ingredients, all of which are also vegan-friendly.

Unsurprisingly, all of that doesn’t come at a particularly low price (£26 per bottle, to be exact). But now Superdrug has come to the rescue of budget beauty fans by creating its very own affordable version of Olaplex.

The retailer has been getting endless praise from happy customers for its new PurePlex Revolutionary Hair Repair System. Priced at just £12.99, the product has been getting amazing ratings, with many claiming that it has given them stronger and healthier hair after just one use.

The treatment is made with Aminofix, a special technology designed to repair the same types of damage targeted by the original Olaplex, and judging by the feedback, it does the job just as well.

One shopper wrote on the Superdrug website: ‘I have used this product twice now, and I can say without a doubt it makes your hair look glossy and smooth! Best of all it feels much better than it did before, less dry, less tuggy.

‘My hair had literally been fried by a hairdresser who was not paying attention, highlights were the request, cotton wool was the result!! I did realise there is a certain amount of damage there is no coming back from, but I was determined not to have to go short! This stuff is something I will use regularly from now on.’
