Sunday Riley is one of those cult brands that’s gained the approval of influencers, skincare experts and beauty editors alike (even Caroline Hirons approves of many of its formulas). But there’s no denying that its products don’t come cheap, with some retailing for upwards of £100.
So if you’ve ever lusted after their eternally Instagrammable bottles but never actually splashed the cash, John Lewis & Partners’ latest launch needs to be on your radar. The department store has just unveiled a new exclusive set which gives you the opportunity to try four of Sunday Riley’s bestsellers, with a 40 per cent saving.
The Sunday Riley Superstars Skincare Gift Set, which is available on the John Lewis website now, contains trial-size versions of three of the brand’s hero serums, plus the eye cream that gets the Hirons seal of approval, for £115. And although this is still an investment buy, if you purchased them individually, it would set you back £190, so you’re getting the bundle for almost half the price.
What’s inside the Sunday Riley Superstars gift set?
It’s hard to determine which of Sunday Riley’s products gets the most rave reviews, but Good Genes, a glycolic acid powerhouse that brightens, plumps and improves radiance, has to be up there. It’s suitable for all skin types, making it a great all-rounder if you’re making your first foray into Sunday territory (or just want to top up your existing stash).
C.E.O is Sunday Riley’s pride and joy vitamin C booster, which targets dullness and dark spots, as well as softening signs of ageing. It absorbs quickly, so you can use it morning or night; it even makes a good base for make-up.
Looking for a retinol that really delivers? A+ is the one for you, with a 6.5% blend of retinoid and retinoid-like botanical extracts. As well as improving cell turnover to reduce blemishes and imperfections, it reveals the more youthful, glowy skin underneath. Sunday Riley says it’s like a pro-strength without the downtime – just ease yourself in gently if you don’t already have a retinol in your routine.
Eye creams can be hit and miss, but Auto Correct really hits, with ingredients like caffeine and Brazilian ginseng root extract to reduce puffiness, brighten dark circles and smooth the appearance of fine lines. The brand calls it ‘8 hours of sleep in one pump’.
The Superstars set contains 15ml versions of all four products, so you can test each one and find the line-up that works for you. If lockdown skin has been getting you down, the answer might just be inside this box…
