How you can stay in the stunning house from Netflix’s Sex Education

If your latest Netflix binge is also Sex Education (season 3 just landed recently), the stunning show that has a refreshingly matter-of-fact approach to all things sex, you may have found yourself spending a lot of time ogling the gorgeous house that main character Otis lives in with his mum, Jean, played by Gillian Anderson.

Indeed, the 100-year-old Norwegian style chalet is a unique house, set in an equally beautiful rural landscape of rolling hills and a meandering river. But, did you know you don’t just have to lust after it through your TV screen? The house is actually available for short-term holiday lets, meaning you can stay in the Sex Education house.

Privately rented, The Chalet is located in Symonds Yat in the Wye Valley of Herefordshire (that river you can see in the background is the River Wye). With 5 bedrooms (four doubles, one twin), it sleeps 10 people and features multiple inside and outside entertaining spaces, including a patio with a pizza oven and a summer house with a ‘secret cinema’.

‘Thanks to Farrow and Ball’s Colour Consultancy, The Chalet has been updated with rich and welcoming interiors that reflect its colourful history,’ reads the website. A quick browse of The Chalet’s Instagram page confirms extremely chic and tasteful decor throughout the interior of the house, complete with a roll top bath, wood-burning stove and sage green conservatory.

The Wye Valley and Forest of Dean are on your doorstep to explore and immerse yourself in nature – this truly is a rural escape like no other – while a local pub is a minute’s walk away and the towns of Hereford, Ross-on-Wye and Chepstow are all nearby to stock up on provisions.

Of course, an in-demand holiday rental like this doesn’t come cheap – a four night stay for 10 people will set you back £2,995. But we can dream, right?
