Ah, don’t you just love it when a celebrity recommends a beauty buy that doesn’t cost the earth? Although we’re not adverse to making an investment in a product that delivers, we also appreciate being tipped off about the best bargains – which is why Stacey Solomon’s latest reveal is so refreshing.
Sharing the contents of her make-up bag with Fabulous magazine, where she is a columnist, Stacey disclosed that the secret to her neatly groomed brows costs just £10, and is natural and organic to boot.
While most of the items in her collection were from pricer brands like Nars (like many stars, she’s a fan of their iconic Orgasm blush), Mac and Chanel, the mum-of-two also said that she swears by West Barn Co’s Soapbrows kit, a brow styling product popular with industry insiders and make-up artists.
‘Most of the time my make-up regime consists of falsies and whacking a bit of soap on my brows,’ she explained. ‘It’s a cheap and effective trick to keep them in place. I brush the gel through my brows to make the hair look fluffier and fuller. My favourite is the £10 Soapbrows Kit by West Barn Co.’
The product is handmade in England and animal cruelty free, made with plant based ingredients that are suitable for vegans too. Simply swipe the spoolie (which is included in the price) through the product and tidy brows will be yours in a matter of seconds.
Stacey added that although she sometimes pays for high end products, she also shops at the affordable end of the spectrum too: ‘My cheapest make-up comes from Primark,’ she continued. ‘Prices start at just 60p for a glittery nail polish and it’s great to take on a night out – for that price you don’t mind if you lose it or, in my case, if your sister nicks it.’
