Good news – we’re about to see a whole lot more of Stacey Solomon on our TV screens. Not only does the former X factor star regularly appear on the Loose Women panel, but she’s now landed herself a role as the new co-host of The Great British Bake Off spin-off show, Bake Off: The Professionals.
The TV show sees teams of professional bakers compete in a series of foodie challenges, which are judged by professional pastry chefs Benoit Blin and Cherish Finden.
The mother of four (who gave birth to a daughter called Rose in October 2021) is set to co-host the show alongside former Bake Off contestant Liam Charles. While we’ll be sad to see Liam’s previous co-host, comedian Tom Allen, leave, we can’t wait to see what Stacey will bring to the table.
The news of Stacey’s arrival to the show was announced via the official British Bake Off Twitter account, complete with a picture of the new foursome.

Stacey Solomon competed in a special Stand Up To Cancer edition of GBBO in 2018, so she knows a thing or two about baking already, and we can just imagine her being the one to lend some sympathy and encouragement to the stressed out bakers.
The new series is planned to air later this year. In the meantime, a new series of The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer is set to air in the spring, when we can expect to see the likes of Motsi Mabuse, Ellie Goulding, Sir Mo Farah and Emma Willis attempting to whip up a storm in the famous white tent.
And for the mega fans out there, we’re still eagerly anticipating more details of the upcoming Great British Bake Off: The Musical, which is premiering at the Everyman Theatre in Cheltenham this summer.
