We’ve all been guilty of foregoing comfort for style at some point, especially when it comes to shoes. But it’s so important that we look after our feet for the long term – they’re the only ones we get after all! And if 2020 has taught us anything, it’s that comfortable fashion has become a bigger priority for many Brits than ever before – so earlier this year, when a footwear brand with the royal and A-list stamp of approval launched a fashionable ‘miracle trainer’ to ‘end the pain of problem feet’, we were more than intrigued.
Sole Bliss is a British footwear brand renowned for its comfortable high heels, but the trainers, which originally came out in August, marked the brand’s first foray into the world of stylish trainers for women with foot issues.
Considering 38 per cent of over-30s (and 10 million women in the UK overall) suffer from bunions, it’s clear we’re a nation in need of some foot-focussed TLC. And so it’s unsurprising that the trainers received rave reviews from customers ever since their summer launch.
‘Decided to check out Sole Bliss with my first purchase being the miracle trainers. WOW. Perfect fit, perfect style – just perfect,’ says one happy customer. ‘I will definitely be going back for more of their shoes – having a huge shoe clean-out to make room.’
So what makes this trainer a ‘miracle shoe’? ‘It’s a Miracle Trainer because, despite its fashionable design, it has so many disguised benefits,’ says Sole Bliss founder, Lisa Kay, who designs shoes for Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall and Helen Mirren. ‘We’ve worked tirelessly with a team of British podiatrists and Italian artisans to create the perfect trainer.’
Originally available in white, black and navy leather, the hero shoe now comes in a new chic selection of colour ways including leopard print, bronze leather and a shiny black patent, all perfect for the season ahead.
Whichever colour you choose, each pair features an anatomically contoured footbed with luxurious underfoot cushioning to soothe painful conditions such as plantar fasciitis. A disguised depth accommodates wider feet whilst maintaining a flattering silhouette and, as with all Sole Bliss shoes, a hidden stretch panel alleviates pressure from bunions and difficult joints.
Handcrafted in Italy, the trainers feature a seamless leather lining to prevent rubbing and a chunky shock-resistant platform sole, while the side zip detail means you only need to lace them up once and then slip them on and off with ease. The on-trend design means these trainers look great with jeans and tailored trousers but also dresses and skirts.
‘The events of this year have inspired me to design this ultimate ‘multi-tasking’ shoe,’ says Lisa. ‘Whether you’re working from home, visiting friends, or doing your daily exercise – it’s stylish and comfortable and fits in with every aspect of our new daily routines.’
The trainers cost £179 and are available to shop exclusively at solebliss.com now. If you haven’t already invested, you might just found your feet’s new best friend.
