Meghan Markle’s go-to shoe brand just branched out into bags

While Megan Markle loves a heel, she’s also regularly spotted in flats, and in particular, Rothy’s pumps. The American brand is famous for its ethical flat shoes, made from marine plastic (that’s ocean-bound plastic collected within 30 miles of coastlines) and now it’s bringing that sustainable touch to a range of bags, too.

From totes to cross-bodies and pouch-style clutches, the five-silhouette collection boasts the same contemporary and bright colourways as the shoes, meaning you can mix and match your favourites, which are also made from 100 per cent marine plastic.

And while most of the Rothy’s bags are within the mid-spend region, the accompanying make-up bags are a more affordable solution to injecting a bit of Rothy’s luxury into your life.

Aptly name The Catchall, the range comes in Mini, Mid and Large sizes, depending on how much of your make-up collection you like to cart around with you. Each comes in a variety of eye-catching colourways, from neon lime and dove grey to bright poppy and slate camo, so there’s something to suit every taste.

The square shape makes them ideal for carrying at the bottom of a bag – even the large size would happily slip inside a tote – and even more ideal for travelling, as no space is wasted. They’re machine washable too, meaning no grimy build up or slimy corners when the inevitable happens and your mini shampoo leaks everywhere.

A matching set of make-up bags in varying sizes certainly seems like the height of glamour; and although there’s no way of knowing if Meghan will be stashing these in her suitcase in the near future, based on her previous picks from the brand, we certainly wouldn’t call it out of the question.

While you are currently able to order from the Rothy’s site here in the UK, the stateside brand are set to officially launch over here this summer, which will mean an easier shopping experience – we can’t wait.
