With a wardrobe full of designer clothes, it’s no shocker that Rosie Huntington-Whiteley always looks effortlessly chic. But what did shock – or at least surprise – some of the supermodel’s Instagram followers recently is that not everything in that amazing wardrobe is designer, and in fact, some of Rosie’s exact items cost as little as £13.
Sharing an outfit of the day post on her Instagram account, Rosie responded to fan questions about where she’d purchased the look. And although her wide-leg white trousers were Isabel Marant and her £1,730 pouch bag was signature Bottega Veneta, her top is actually a bodysuit, and comes from everyone’s favourite high-street shop, Zara.
The £12.99 halter neck bodysuits come in a range of colours – in fact, eagle-eyed fashion watchers have spotted that Rosie wore the black version earlier this week, and there’s also a white and a green on the Zara website (almost one for every day of the week).
It’s a staple basic that can we born with any jacket or blazer, and the bodycon fit and seamless fabric mean that it’s perfect for tucking into your favourite high-waisted skirt or trousers, no bunching of hemlines required. Take inspiration from Rosie and go for stark colour contrasts – either monochrome in black and white, or neutral with a softer nude.
The bodysuits come in sizes S-L, a slightly smaller range than Zara’s usual XS to XXL, but as they’re 6 per cent elastine you should find that they have a decent amount of stretch.
Stock up now to show off your shoulders while summer sticks around, then use it as a bonus layer to keep you warm when the weather changes its tune. At that price, your cost per wear will soon be close to zero!
