Whether you’re nostalgic for the summers of love you experienced back in the 60s or you’re sad to have missed out on them the first time around, you’ll want to take a look at Rixo’s stunning new collection.
The fashion house, known for creating cult midi dresses that the coolest members of the fashion crowd will queue up to wear, debuted its ‘Back to the Garden’ pieces at London Fashion Week this weekend.
The limited edition line was created with the intention of celebrating ‘the spirit and style of this defining decade’ – think ‘golden butterflies, psychedelic florals, and sixties silhouettes’ galore. And in a brand-first, it has been made available to shop immediately.
As with any Rixo range, the pieces don’t come cheap – prices start from £45 for a retro-print tee and range up to £375 for the showstopping Teresa Ombre Wave Gold Foil Paisley dress, an ethereal riot of pastel shades and intricate detailing.
But if you do choose to invest, know that each item from the edit generates an automatic £5 donation to Cool Earth and Smart Works (the same charity supported by Meghan Markle’s recent high-street workwear launch), meaning that in making a purchase, you are sponsoring a tree in the Peruvian Amazon rainforest and making a donation that will help another woman get back into work and transform her life.
