River Island has long been a staple store on the high street, but for stocking your wardrobe, not your shelves. Now it’s branching out into something brand new – introducing RI Home, which arrives in stores and online this autumn.
The new collection sees the brand incorporating River Island’s signature clothing style into an 160 piece homeware collection, which spans luxury candles and diffusers, soft furnishings, décor accessories, furniture, and storage options.
‘The launch of our brand-new RI Home division heralds the beginning of an exciting chapter for us,’ said Dayna Sofair, Head of Homeware Buying at the brand.
‘Style doesn’t end at our clothes. Where we eat, the fragrance we wear and way we decorate our homes says as much about us as our favourite pair of jeans.’
‘With this in mind, we wanted to give our customer the chance to bring some of that signature River Island style and personality out of the wardrobe and into their homes.’
From the images that have been released, we’re predicting design-led pieces, trend driven prints and patterns, plus a dash of playfulness and the usual RI injection of glamour.
The range will be broken down into three key looks – Baby Doll (‘a cheeky colour scheme and quirky prints’), Electric Opulence (for ‘lavish tastes’) and New Nordic (stripped-back Scandi style).
‘Whether you opt for something bright and kitsch, extravagantly opulent or stripped back and chic – we’ve got you, with all the fur trimmings,’ the shop says on its website.
‘RI homeware is designed to help you put a unique spin on your space – however big or small. Get inspired with premium trend edits, unique fashion-infused schemes that can transform a room in full or be mixed and matched to suit your home style.’
