One of the most crucial parts of any holiday is of course, your accommodation, and we’ll be the first to admit that we love a luxury stay – especially if the price is decent too. So if you’re in need of a little inspiration for your next getaway this summer, then we’ve got just the place.
Quinta da Bela Vista in Madeira has been named the ‘best boutique hotel in Europe’ and it’s not hard to see why – the place is stunning!
The five-star hotel is quite the site and over looks Funchal Bay on the Portuguese island, offering breath-taking views of the Atlantic Ocean. As you’d expect from a boutique hotel, the entire property is full of character and is rich in authentic interiors.
It is surrounded by beautiful botanical gardens and consists of 89 luxurious rooms as well as tennis courts, a heated outdoor pool, a spa and a gym, to name just a few of the facilities. It also boasts two restaurants and a games room for guests to enjoy – no wonder it has been voted the best of the best.
Prices start at £160 per night which is quite reasonable considering its new accolade, so get your booking in while you can. Oh, and did we mention that Madeira is known for its signature wine? Consider us, sold.
Quinta da Bela Vista came out on top at the prestigious World Travel Awards 2019 last month, after beating off fierce competition from the likes of Dukes London, Hotel d’Angleterre Geneva and Kivotos Mykonos.
Speaking to Pretty 52 about the win, the hotel’s general manager Gonçalo de Ornelas Monteiro said: ‘It’s a credit to the entire Quinta Bela Vista team and an honour that has encouraged us to keep on improving.’
The hotel has also received hundreds of five star ratings and glowing reviews on Trip Advisor, so it’s safe to say its new title is well deserved.
