Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without a share-size tub of chocolates – and whether you’re a fan of the toffee penny, green triangle, or ‘the purple one’, most families will go through at least one tub of Quality Street during the festive season.
And in fact, this year you might even find yourself discovering a new favourite, as there’s a brand new chocolate set to join the line-up and it sounds like the perfect decadent bite.
The new addition combines three of our favourite things in one delicious package: please give a very warm welcome to the delightful-sounding Chocolate Caramel Brownie.
And in addition to the limited edition newcomer, Quality Street is also rejigging its ratios to include more chocolate-based treats, after consumer research found that these were more popular than toffee alternatives. Inside each box, you’ll now find 46 per cent chocolate sweets, instead of the previous 35 per cent.
Ellie Worley, senior brand manager for Quality Street said: ‘2019 is a huge year for Quality Street. We’ve got a new sweet, a new design and we are developing the brand in all areas ahead of the Christmas season.
‘I know just how much people love Quality Street and we work really hard to find that balance between keeping things fresh but also familiar. ‘We’ve been listening and I think we’ve got the perfect mix this year and made the changes that people have told us they’d like to see.’
Tubs including the Chocolate Caramel Brownie chocolate are available now at all major supermarkets.
However, if you really fall in love with the flavour, you’ll be pleased to know that later this year Asda will launch three giant containers of just one type of Quality Street: Giant Strawberry Creme, the Giant Purple One and – you guessed it – the Giant Chocolate Caramel Brownie. No, you’re drooling.
