You can still buy Princess Diana’s favourite perfume

Princess Diana was a style icon of her time – and continues to influence trends and designs today.

And it’s not only the fashion industry where Diana had influence, as beauty fans have always been desperate to know the makeup and products she was dedicated to using. With this in mind, it’s an exciting time for Princess Di fans as her alleged favourite perfume has been unveiled.

According to The Celebrity Fragrance Guide, Diana was a fan of several perfumes, but the one that you can still purchase today is Penhaligon’s Bluebell Eau De Toilette. The £98 fragrance is proudly and decadently British, featuring subtle bluebell notes alongside hyacinth, lily of the valley, jasmine and rose. The feminine fragrance is a bestseller for Penhaligon’s – and it’s clear to see why.

As well as smelling beautiful, the scent comes in packaging fit for a princess, with a sophisticated glass bottle, delicate blue bow and vintage looking label.

The Celebrity Fragrance Guide also claims Diana wore other perfumes by Hermes, Dior, and Lanvin among others.

Princess Diana was said to be a big beauty fan, taking care of her skin diligently. Makeup artist Mary Greenwell, who worked with Diana, once said of her regimen: ‘Diana was very aware of her beauty regime, cleansing, toning and moisturising twice a day.’

‘She’d be now using serums and definitely using sunblock every day,’ she continued.

Discussing her simple makeup routine, Greenwell also revealed: ‘We always started with a moisturiser, a foundation to suit her skin tone exactly and then used a concealer to lift the eye area. Mascara – which is a gift of all gifts and a light blush and lip colour to suit her mood that day.’
