It’s not often we spot royals out and about, and least of all at a music festival (despite several people believing they spotted the Queen in the crowd at Glastonbury last weekend). However, one set of royals who really were there was Princess Beatrice and her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.
When not taking part in official engagements, it appears the royal couple like to indulge in a spot of live music in their downtime. While they’re often required to get dressed up to the nines, Beatrice and Edoardo took the opportunity to play it more casual at Glastonbury in coordinated denim outfits.
Beatrice’s casual look consisted of a belted skater-style denim dress, a black bomber jacket, white beaten up trainers, a black leather crossbody handbag and dark sunglasses. You’d forgive a royal for wearing designer clothes – even to a potentially muddy festival – but it seems, just like Kate Middleton, Princess Beatrice also has a penchant for high street fashion.
It turns out her blue denim dress is from River Island and costs a purse-friendly £40. The button-up style has cute half-length puffed sleeves with frilled edges and matching tie belt to cinch in the waist and accentuate the fit-and-flare shape of the dress. It’s still available in most sizes online – although once word gets out we can see it disappearing fast! If the dark blue wash isn’t your style, the dress also comes in black, lilac and camel.
Meanwhile, her black leather bag, from Rebecca Minkoff, toughens up the look with its silver chain hardware. Called the Mini M.A.C., it’s usually £171.45, but it’s currently in the brand’s summer sale for £85.73, making it the ideal time to snap it up if you love it. There are other versions of the bag available too, with gold and black hardware, depending on your style.
