Shoppers are raving about the £3 Primark tanning drops that rival more expensive brands

Fake tan formulas have come a long way in the past few years with more and more of us turning to gradual tan over instant and mousse and foam formulas over creams. The latest development to hit the shelves, however, is tanning drops and now Primark has jumped on the trend with their very own £3 iteration.

Part of the retailer’s new PS Bronze cosmetics collection, the ‘radiant glow’ Primark tanning drops look suspiciously similar to Tan Luxe’s own tanning drops but are a fraction of the price with the latter coming in at £35.

But how do tanning drops actually work and how do you apply them? Using the dropper system, add one or two drops to your favourite moisturiser, serum or oil and essentially create your own self-tanner tailored to your skin.

The Primark product promises to ‘gradually build up a natural-looking tan’ and according to TikTok users, that is exactly what they do. One Primark shopper even shared a video on the platform with dramatic before and after photos after leaving the tanning drops to work their magic overnight and even rated them ’10 out of 10′ the next morning.

Hundreds of comments on @primark_hauls_ TikTok video confirmed that the tanning drops were a steal with one @saffron_x0Xxo posting that she has ‘been using them for months and doesn’t make my skin bad’ and @evieschxfield agreeing that she had ‘just done mind and it’s so nice’.

Of course, to get your hands on the Primark tanning drops, you’ll need to head to your local store to see what they have in stock. For an overnight golden glow with zero mess though? We think it’s absolutley worth a trip in to town.
