Lockdown gave many of us the time and opportunity to spruce up our homes and redecorate. The desire to give our homes a revamp was certainly helped along by having to stare at the same walls for months on end while having to stay at home.
One interiors trend that has really taken the spotlight this year is rattan. As well as finding rattan homeware in upmarket high street home outlets like H&M and Zara, the style has been so popular that even discount stores such as Poundland, Aldi and B&M have created their own rattan ranges. What’s more, they usually look way more expensive than they actually are.
Just in time for summer, Primark has jumped on the bandwagon by releasing a rattan jug, tray, and tumblers. The new items appear to be a hit on Instagram, receiving over 8,000 likes in a week.
The jug is almost identical to a John Lewis one, but in true Primark fashion, the price points are very different. Shoppers can pick up the rattan jug in Primark for just £7, in comparison to the John Lewis equivalent that will set you back £25.
One Primark Home Instagram follower commented: ‘Primani have really upped their home game lately!’
Another wrote: ‘Ohh wow. I love this set.’
Primark’s rattan tumblers are also available in stores nationwide, for £5 each. We think the whole set would look so lovely in your garden on a sunny day. In fact, the new Primark outdoor range is full of sunny, tropical prints. Shoppers can find cooler bags, straws, and water bottles from a very purse-friendly £3.
It also has stylish ceramics and cool linens on offer that serve a strong Mediterranean aesthetic. The terracotta bowl is a reasonable £7, while the green jug is just £5. Those, sat on a garden table alongside the rattan jug and tumblers, is a match made in heaven.
Did you wear out your picnic mat while we could only socialise outdoors? Primark also has a striped picnic mat, complete with a carrying strap, for £8.
Head down to a Primark store to see what else the collection has to offer and take your alfresco dining to the next level.
