Of the many things we miss about pre-lockdown life, one of them is paying a visit to our local coffee shop for a fresh flat white. But while the option to sit down and enjoy a cup in store may be a long way off, Pret is making the wait a little easier to bear by launching its first ever retail range of coffee on Amazon.
Yes, the dream of brewing up Pret coffee at home is now a reality thanks to the three new launches, which consist of two ground coffee options and one whole bean offering, all of which are 100 per cent organic. Choose from the classic blend ground coffee, with sweet praline and caramel notes, the lighter, fruitier Peruvian blend, or Pret’s signature espresso beans, which are so popular 80 million cups are sold every year in the UK.
Pret’s UK MD Clare Clough said of the collection: ‘We are extremely proud of our organic coffee, which is carefully sourced from some of the finest coffee growing regions in the world. We also know how much customers are missing it from their daily lives at the moment, so we’re delighted to be launching our first retail range with Amazon.’
As of today, more than 100 Pret shops will also be open across London and the UK for takeaway and delivery services, but the arrival of its coffee on Amazon makes it even easier to enjoy at home. It also marks the beginning of a wider shoppable strategy for the chain, with additional products under development for future releases, so we can’t wait to see what other Pret favourites we might be able to get our hands on in the future.
In the meantime, here’s the three bags you can pre-order now, in advance of the official launch on 18 May.
