There’s nothing we love quite as much as free booze. Especially when the tipple on offer is a delicious cocktail. But not just any old cocktail, the very trendy Espresso Martini.
In honour of International Coffee Day, which takes place next Tuesday 1 October, popular London coffee and cocktail bar Grind is giving away the delicious caffeine cocktail to customers across eight of their branches in the capital.
However, it won’t be your average Espresso Martini. The business has teamed up with alcohol brand Discarded to create environmentally conscious cocktails by creatively reusing Grind’s spent coffee grounds, combined with Discarded’s rich, fruity and refreshing vermouth, for a deliciously different serve.
But fear not, you’ll still have the classic taste of the famous cocktail. The eco-friendly has simply used the vermouth that has been infused with cascara, the deep red berry of the coffee plant leftover from the coffee production process, to create the same taste we know and love with a sustainable twist. Clever, right?
So, how exactly do we get to claim our free treat? Well firstly, you’ll have to be quick as the offer is only available to the first 800 customers at Grind. The free Espresso Martinis will be available from 6pm on the day so we suggest heading to your nearest Grind bar straight after work to ensure you get you get your hands on yours.
But Grind isn’t the only company giving out freebies to celebrate the special day, Costa is also providing customers with free cups of coffee. The coffee chain, which is known not only for its cafes across the country but its popular Costa Express machines dotted around towns and cities, is allowing customers to order any hot drink of their choice from the machines completely free of charge on Tuesday, 1 October.
So if you can’t make it to London for the Espresso Martinis, you know what to do. Or why not make the most of both if you can? We certainly will.
