And yes, we know that Mary P is a fictional character, but that doesn’t mean we can’t learn very real lessons from her, the first being: always wield a handbag big enough to carry everything you could need and then some. The second being that a ‘spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down,’ but that’s beside the point.
