One of these £4 moisturisers sells every 20 seconds in the UK

The world of skincare can often be overwhelming. So it’s reassuring to know that some of the nation’s bestselling buys are actually reassuringly simple – and purse-friendly, to boot.

Take Nivea’s range of day creams, for instance. With four easy options to suit various skin types, the product isn’t just inexpensive, it’s also incredibly popular, with new figures from the brand showing that a tube leaves stores every 20 seconds. That’s 4,320 tubes sold in the UK every 24 hours.

The rich, nourishing formula is a favourite amongst customers with a range of different needs, from tackling dryness to managing oil.

And while the packaging has recently been given a revamp – you may recognise the line under the name Daily Essentials – the benefits inside are still the same. Each cream is dermatologically approved and made with natural ingredients including SPF for a hit of moisture that lasts all day long.

There’s even a tinted option that’s perfect for ‘no make-up’ make-up with minimal effort, which is actually the top-seller in the whole range, even though it only comes in one shade option (if it’s too light for you, try the collections’s BB Cream, which comes in a Medium to Dark option).

Already a fan of Nivea’s offering? You’re not alone. Famous faces including Dawn French and even the Duchess of Sussex have sung the praises of the brand in the past, albeit the slightly more expensive Q10 line.

Dawn swears by Nivea’s Q10 Anti-Wrinkle Energising Day Cream for keeping her skin looking amazing throughout decades in the spotlight, while Meghan revealed in a past interview that she uses the Q10 Vitamin C Firming Body Lotion ‘religiously’.

‘It’s honestly my favourite lotion on the market, it’s so affordable, and makes my skin look and feel amazing,’ she revealed to Beauty Banter at the time. ‘I would buy a case of this at a time if I could find it!’

The royal was even spotted using Nivea sun cream during one of her first outings after the birth of baby Archie Harrison earlier this year, so it would appear that she’s stayed loyal to its affordable formulas.
