M&S’s new floral jumpsuit is your spring special occasionwear sorted

We never thought it was possible to find an outfit that would work for literally every occasion, but that was before we met the new M&S floral jumpsuit of dreams.

The brand just unveiled the piece on its Instagram as part of an ongoing reveal of its gorgeous new season collection for S/S 20, and customers have already fallen head over heels in love.

The navy and white patterned jumpsuit is the all-in-one spring saviour we never saw coming. With its relaxed fit, wear-anywhere print and on-trend details, including a cinching waist tie and collarless neckline, it’ll work for the office, weddings, city breaks, evening drinks with friends, Sunday lunch at the pub… the list goes on.

Pop on white platform trainers and a trench for more relaxed gatherings, and upgrade to heels and statement earrings when the party starts. We’ll be dressing ours up with a statement clutch and a bold red lip, but honestly, there’s no wrong way to style this versatile beauty, and we’re not the only ones who think so.

Fans on the M&S social media pages have been expressing their infatuation with the piece, with one writing: ‘This looks great!’ and a second simply exclaiming ‘Need!’ upon seeing the store’s post.

‘This would be fab on you,’ a third wrote to a friend, while another dubbed the piece ‘stunning’.

At £65, the jumpsuit is a mid-priced piece for Marks & Spencer, but its easy-to-wear nature means your cost-per-wear will quickly reduce.

The only downside? Several commenters were disappointed to discover that the romper only goes up to a UK 16, while many M&S items run to a 24. Here’s hoping the initial surge in popularity will encourage the designers to bring it out in a wider range of sizes – after all, when a garment is this gorgeous a staple, everyone will want to add it to their wardrobes.
