From supermarkets to independent designers, there have never been so many things you can buy to support our amazing NHS. But the most popular of all has to be the M&S NHS charity t-shirts spotted on the likes of Holly Willoughby and Amanda Holden, which flew out of stock in a matter of hours when they first launched on the store’s website last week.
The ‘All In This Together’ tops, which are priced at a very reasonable £9.50, come in a variety of designs centred around rainbows and clapping hands – a nod to our weekly #ClapForOurCarers, and the drawings that have started appearing in windows across the country.
The idea came about after M&S announced the donation of thousands of bespoke T-shirts for the NHS Nightingale London team to wear as part of their uniform. ‘Following this customers and colleagues asked for a charity tee to buy and show their support and solidarity,’ the store explains.
‘In response, M&S is selling a range of ‘All in this Together’ t-shirts. All of the £3.55 profit plus VAT from the sale of each product will be paid to NHS Charities Together (registered charity 1186569) – supporting NHS staff and volunteers caring for Covid-19 patients.’
Demand may have been overwhelming initially, but M&S has stepped up to meet it, as all of the t-shirts are now back in stock and ready to shop.
With lovely prints, a brilliant message and most importantly of all, funds going directly to an incredibly important cause, e can’t think of a better way to spend a tenner right now…
