M&S launches new home baking range, including Percy Pig and Colin the Caterpillar sprinkles

It feels like summer hasn’t even started properly yet, but regardless, Marks and Spencer has us prepped and ready to socialise again this season. Recently, it announced the portable rosé wine pouches are back for summer, as well as its pre-made picnic platters. Now, M&S has revealed the relaunch of its home baking range, which includes over 35 brand new essential ingredients.

From foolproof cake and bread mixes to decorations and colouring gels, M&S has got everything a home baker could need for sweet and savoury creations. And with 150 products in the range to choose from, we can believe it.

The baking mixes on offer are the easiest way to quickly whip up the base of your bake. Shoppers can find a simple Triple Chocolate Cookie Mix, American Style Pancake Mix, Focaccia & Ciabatta Bread Mix and Pizza Base Mix, to name a few.

If you’d rather start totally from scratch, M&S has improved its range of flours to include a light 00 Pasta Flour, White Spelt Flour, Light Rye Flour, and naturally gluten-free Gram Flour to cater for everyone’s preferences.

Finishing touches on a bake can feel tricky if you don’t have the knack for it, but M&S has got a bunch of buys to help achieve an Instagram-worthy creation. Spruce them up with colouring gels, cooking chocolates and the brand new icing tubs, which come in flavours like Sea Salted Caramel and Indulgent Chocolate.

Marks and Spencer couldn’t introduce new foodie products to their range without including Percy and Colin, of course. The baking range also features Percy Pig sprinkles and Colin the Caterpillar sprinkles to really add a fun touch.

This Morning’s resident baking expert Juliet Sear has created recipes using the M&S home baking range, including a chocolate and salted caramel traybake that sounds truly scrumptious. She also suggests melting some cooking chocolate, particularly the new golden blond bar, and dipping the edge of a serving glass or bowl in it, then rolling it in Percy or Colin sprinkles to create a pretty encrusted edge.

We might just have to give that a try! Bakers will find the exciting new ingredients in stores nationwide.
