Don’t you just love it when a trend is super chic, but also incredibly comfortable? We suspect that this combination has got something to do with the popularity of Marks & Spencer’s on-trend black hiking boots, which flew out of stock during their first drop, but thankfully, have just been restocked.
The practical style has been a hit since it launched in stores last Christmas, but thanks to fashion bible Who What Wear, we’ve just been alerted to the fact that several sizes are now available on the M&S website once again.
However, you’ll need to move quickly if you want to get your hands on the chunky-soled footwear – not only are they very well priced for real leather, at just under £60, they’re also getting rave reviews about just how easy they are to wear, no painful breaking in required.
As well as the stylish eyelet detail and monochrome laces, they come complete with M&S’s signature Insolia Flex technology, which makes sure your foot is correctly aligned with the shoe at all times, and provides proper support that you feel with every step.
‘I’ve had loads of compliments about these boots. They are comfortable and look good with skinny jeans or skirts,’ says one customer, while another agrees: ‘Fantastic boots, true to size. Look great and much more expensive than they were. Well done M&S!’
It’s worth noting that they’re also a great alternative to the Grenson style that’s sweeping Instagram, bearing a striking resemblance to the Nanette boot, but for a fraction of the cost.
The M&S version has already been spotted on many a social media feed, providing endless styling inspiration with everything from floaty long-sleeved midi dresses to jeans and tees to satin midis, so if you’re lucky enough to get your hands on a pair, you’ll have plenty of ready-made outfit ideas.
The only challenge now is racing to the tills before everyone else beats you to it. Get moving now, or risk missing out once again!
