We love seeing what seasonal treats M&S releases as we approach specific times of the year, especially when it comes to animal icons Percy Pig and Colin the Caterpillar. Every year, Marks and Spencer redecorates Colin the Caterpillar for specific holidays. In 2020, the Colin we know and love transformed into Frankencolin the Caterpillar for Halloween. For 2021, M&S has revealed its revised version is Spooky Festival Colin the Caterpillar, inspired by the Day of the Dead festival.
Sharing a snap of spooky Colin on Instagram, M&S wrote: ‘Our iconic cake has had a limited-edition makeover, transformed spooky festival-style with a white chocolate skull face, bones and flowers!’
Needless to say, fans were very excited to see the limited-edition redesign.
‘I NEED TO TRY,’ one person wrote in the comments.
‘Let’s go to M&S and pig out on the cake, looks awesome,’ another said, tagging their friend.
The Spooky Festival Colin the Caterpillar cake can be bought in-store and online for £7. But, it’s not the only Halloween Colin product available.
M&S has also created an epic Colin the Caterpillar Halloween hamper, which includes the Festival Colin cake, mini cakes in the same design, Risky Roulette sweets, vegetarian sour sweets, mini chocolate Colin faces and a gift bag. It would make a great addition to any Halloween party, that’s for sure.
If the entire Spooky Colin hamper sounds like a bit much, the packs of mini rolls and Risky Roulette sweets can be bought separately online from Ocado, or in M&S stores.
Last month, we discovered that Marks and Sparks had really gone the extra mile with its Halloween range, creating a Spooky Festival Colin cake jar.
With these new treats, and 2021 being the very first year M&S has launched a Colin the Caterpillar advent calendar, we can’t wait to see what else hits our shelves come Christmas…
