It’s the news that so many had been waiting for: Mrs Hinch, aka Sophie Hinchliffe, has written a memoir. The cleanfluencer, who has risen to fame over the last two years through her Instagram account @mrshinchhome where she shares daily cleaning tips and tricks with her 3.5 million followers, revealed the news last week via a series of emotional Instagram Story posts.
Mrs Hinch has penned three books already – Hinch Yourself Happy, The Little Book of Lists and The Activity Journal – which have all been practical and informative non-fiction ventures. However, it appears this new book will take an entirely different form as it will be an ‘extraordinarily candid’ memoir of her rise to fame, titled This Is Me.
Despite only being released for pre-order last week, This Is Me has already topped the most sold non-fiction chart on Amazon, based entirely on pre-orders alone. It’s clearly on its way to being one of the most highly anticipated books of 2020, and if that’s not enough to convince you it’s worth a pre-order, the hardcover and Kindle editions have now been discounted to £9.99 from the original RRP of £16.99 on Amazon – that’s a saving of £7.
Mrs Hinch started her announcement of the new book by thanking her followers for being so invested in her journey and her family: ‘For two years now I have had my Mrs Hinch Home account and it has been the craziest two years of my life. And I just want to start off by saying thank you, so much, for supporting me and loving me and my family. Just being there every day, we are so grateful.’
Through teary eyes, she continued by saying: ‘I try to keep my platform as positive as possible and as upbeat as it can be, but sometimes I don’t address some of the good and the bad things that I read out there because it’s slightly uncomfortable.
‘My followers deserve a bit of what you’re asking for, which is me as Sophie and the life behind Mrs Hinch, so I’ve been working on my very own memoir to be able to put everything, the amazing highs but also the lows that have come with becoming Mrs Hinch.’
The new book will divulge on many aspects of Sophie’s life over last few years, from being the subject of rumours and trolling to the journey of motherhood. The tome will be published 1 October 2020 but is available for pre-order now.
Fans were quick to congratulate Mrs Hinch on the news, including close friend Stacey Solomon, who posted her own Instagram Story of the book promo video, writing: ‘Finally the news is out! Congratulations bubs, it’s going to be amazing!’
