With non-essential shops able to reopen from Monday 12 April, this week has been a big week for the retail industry and although Boots has been open throughout lockdown as an essential store, the retailer saw a huge increase in customers across its stores on Monday as shoppers flocked back to the high street.
With beauty consultations able to reopen again, it’s no surprise that Boots reported that beauty was the biggest growth category on the day. What were the most-wanted products at Boots on 12 April? We asked the insiders…

Boots also revealed that the top five categories on the day were Premium Cosmetics, Skincare, Healthy Family, Self-selection Cosmetics and Hair.
As for the retailer’s top-selling premium beauty brands on 12 April? Clinique came out on top followed by Estee Lauder, Clarins, Benefit and Lancome.

While make-up testers are still unavailable at Boots, the retailer is continuing its Make-Up Exchange Promise which means you can exchange any make-up that you buy from Boots and that turns out to be the wrong shade for your skin – even if you’ve already opened it. Hoorah!
