It’s hard to imagine that many houses in the UK don’t have at least one IKEA item tucked away within their walls. After all, the household brand currently has 403 stores in 30 countries worldwide and they’re looking to expand even further.
In fact, in 2017 alone, a staggering 817 million people went to a store and 2.1 billion (!) people visited ikea.com.
Kind of crazy, right?

What’s strangely not so crazy anymore however, is that you can visit someone’s home, here or abroad, and notice that they have the exact same IKEA furniture, lighting or decoration as you do even if they live in the likes of Serbia, Denmark or the Caribbean. It turns out, you can pick up one of those trusty BILLY bookshelf or a handy FÄRGRIK Mug no matter where you are.
To celebrate the 75th anniversary of when IKEA was started by Ingvar Kamprad in Sweden back in 1943, the company have now revealed the top 13 products most people buy the world-over – and we reckon you’ve laid eyes on them, or perhaps even owned them, on more than one occasion…
