These are the top 10 most Instagrammable British Isles for a summer staycation

Despite having a tentative roadmap out of lockdown, many of us are still expecting and planning to holiday in the UK rather than abroad this summer. That’s right, for the second year running, we’re looking to take a well-earned break on British soil. If you’ve exhausted the traditional staycation hotspots, however, take a look at this list of the top 10 most Instagrammable British Isles for a little summer inspiration.

The list — which is composed by Island Cottage Holidays — looked at which isles across the UK had the most location-tagged photos, and the beautiful Isle of Wight came up trumps with a mind-bending 893,55. This was closely followed by The Isle Of Skye with 701,034 tags, and Shetland with 572,454.

With its pleasant climate and many attractions, it comes as no surprise that the Isle Of Wight is at the top of the list. However, the top ten list also featured some other notable gems such as Guernsey, Isle of Man, and Hayling Island….
