We all know Meghan Markle is a huge style icon these days but, arguably, she’s a huge beauty icon too.
Since tying the knot with Prince Harry last May, the Duchess of Sussex has become one of the most watched and revered woman in the world.
If she steps out, everyone will rush out to buy her clothing items or seek out the high street versions and wait for the details of her beauty products to be announced so that they can snap them up too. But, people are just as interested in what Meghan will covet as what she won’t.
Now, her makeup artist, Daniel Martin, who did do Meghan’s beauty look for her big day, has spoken to People about how her makeup routine has changed since becoming a royal and the one thing she won’t do in the future when it comes to beauty.
Firstly, he revealed that actually she often likes to do her own makeup: ‘She’s gotten more comfortable doing her own makeup. She loves makeup and she’s good at it.’
‘She’s not fussy – she’s just trying to get it on and get out the door.’
Talking of her signature look, he said: ‘She likes a stronger eye, her brow is a lot more defined now. But it’s still her. If anything, she’s going to experiment with different tones, and now that she’s more tan she’ll use warmer colours. But she doesn’t stray too far from her technique, she’s very formulaic with her routine.’
Talking of the look you’ll never see on the Duchess again, he said: ‘The one time she did a red lip, she just didn’t feel comfortable in it. She likes to talk and she’s not a fussy person, so she doesn’t want to have to worry about anything.’
‘They have so many engagements, you have to stick with what you know and feel comfortable and confident and just own it.’
