It is no secret that the Duchess of Sussex likes the finer things in life when it comes to fashion. And with the biggest fashion houses in the world falling at her feet, who could blame her?
However, every now and again, Meghan is spotted wearing something a lot closer to our pay grade. The latest is a chic pair of sunglasses she sported at Wimbledon over the weekend.
The new mum watched her good friend Serena Williams be defeated by Simona Halep in the Single Ladies’ Final alongside her sister-in-law Kate and Kate’s sister Pippa. The three sat in the royal box on Saturday where Meghan wore a simple white button-down shirt tucked into a stylish accordion skirt.
The best part of her outfit, however, was of course the sunglasses she added to complete the look. The Bandwagon Matte Tort-Smoke Mono Polarised shades are by French brand Le Specs and priced at just $69 (£40). Talk about a bargain! Especially because they look like they’d cost a lot more.
The sunglasses, which have been described by the brand as a ‘modern take on a fifties shape’ feature a classic rivet detailing and come in a number of different shades including ‘black rubber’, ‘matte stone’, ‘raw sugar’, ‘navy fleck tort’ and ‘matte tort’ which is the colour Meghan opted for, to name a few.
But this isn’t the first time she has been spotted wearing the brand. Back in March, Meghan wore a different pair of Le Spec shades as she attended her baby shower in New York.
The Duchess has had quite the busy weekend. After spending Saturday at Wimbledon, Meghan made an appearance at the London premiere of The Lion King alongside husband Prince Harry. The couple greeted Beyoncé (who stars in the Disney live action film as Nala) and husband Jay Z at the newly refurbished Odeon Luxe in Leicester Square, where Meghan and Beyoncé shared sweet words before entering the screening. What a moment!
