The world received a rare glimpse inside Meghan Markle’s private life this week as her close friend and trusted make-up artist, Daniel Martin, took to Instagram to show off a brunch the Duchess of Sussex had made for him during a visit to her home at Cotswolds cottage.
Naturally, we were all excited about the fact that just like the rest of us mere mortals, the Duchess loves her avocado on toast. In fact, Daniel – who shot to fame after it was revealed that he was the man behind Meghan’s classic make-up look for her wedding to Prince Harry last May – proceeded to call his friend ‘the #avocadotoast whisperer.’
But aside from being thrilled about Meghan’s brunch of choice, eagle eyed fans recognised something else in the photo – her tea set.
Despite it being no secret that the royal mum-to-be is big on indulging in the finer things when it comes to her wardrobe, it turns out she’s pretty thrifty when it comes to kitchenware as her tea set is by Soho Home – the homeware brand attached to the private member’s club in London, which sells surprisingly affordable items. Like Meghan’s £25 tea pot and £10 mugs, for instance.
Last year, it was rumoured that the Duchess had enlisted the creative eye of A-list interiors favourite and former Global Head of Design at Soho House, Vicky James, to design her and Harry’s home and judging by her kitchenware, she did indeed.
Meghan is actually such a big fan of the Soho House group, that she allegedly spent her hen night at Soho Farmhouse last year. In fact, the popular country getaway is in the same estate as Meghan and Harry’s home, so it’s safe to say she’s a regular.
