It’s no secret that the Duchess of Sussex loves her designer goods, and boy does she look chic in them. However, every now and again, Meghan likes to tone things down with a more casual – yet still completely royal-appropriate – look. Last week was one of those times.
The mum-to-be surprised fans at Wembley Arena as she appeared on stage with husband Prince Harry at WE Day, where he was due to give a speech. As always, Meghan looked flawless but instead of her usual red carpet-ready style, the duchess opted for something a little more simple: black trousers, a gorgeous navy blue blazer and a pair of black high heel stilettos by Manolo Blahnik for some subtle glam.
However, one thing that royal watchers spotted was that Meghan was wearing an affordable basic underneath the blazer. The black crew neck tee is reportedly by British label Lavender Hill Clothing and seems to be Meghan’s go-to place for casual T-shirts. And luckily for us, the t-shirts are both in stock and reasonably priced at £34.
Alright so, £34 may not be the most purse-friendly price for a t-shirt but for someone like Meghan who loves splurging on designer items that are completely out of reach for many of us, it’s a good mid-point in our book.
Lavender Hill Clothing was launched in 2013 by Isobel Ridley and provides luxury basic -shirts, underwear, loungewear and accessories for women. Isobel’s items are both flattering and trans-seasonal, which is why it is no wonder Meghan loves them.
The Duchess has been spotted wearing the brand’s T-shirts on several occasions. In fact, she has worn them so many times that she is all over the official Lavender Hill Clothing homepage sporting the T-shirts in both black and white.
And if they’re good enough for Meghan, they’re definitely good enough for us.
