Meghan Markle is known for many things, but one of them is without doubt her hair. Whenever she is pictured in public, she looks groomed to perfection, with her locks neatly styled and glossy. So what exactly is is her secret?
According to an interview she took part in with Beauty Banter (long before she became the Duchess of Sussex) Meghan revealed that there are two particular hair lines that she uses ‘religiously’: Kerastase and Wella.
‘[Wella] has a hair oil that I am obsessed with,’ former Suits actress Meghan said at the time. ‘It smells like vacation and makes your hair slippery and touchable. I love this stuff! It also doubles as a pretty amazing body oil post bath.’
Wella’s Professionals Oil Reflections Luminous Smoothing Oil retails for just £12.60, and is infused with Camellia Oil and White Tea Extract to help smooth and add shine to strands. The multi-purpose product can be used as a styling product, leave-in treatment, or pre-shampoo oil (or, as Meghan quite rightly pointed out, a substitute for a body oil if you’re in a pinch).
You’ve got the gloss, now how do you get the volume? Meghan previously told Birchbox that she’s picked up a tip on the set of her TV show that’s a great way to add a little oomph.
‘When my hair is feeling a little weighted, Suzanne, my hair artist on set, has me bend forward, and she sprays a little Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray (£41), or nothing at all, and has me flip back hard to give my hair a little extra bounce,’ she explained.
Finish off with a slick of her favourite £8.99 mascara and you’ll have the ‘Markle sparkle’ before you know it.
