We love it when Meghan Markle is spotted in a high street outfit – especially because it often means that we too can get our hands on it.
In fact, any high street piece she wears often become a sell-out, thanks to the ever strong Meghan-effect – a prime example being the Marks & Spencer dress she wore for an evening at the Royal Albert Hall last year.
The Duchess of Sussex chose the retailer’s classic Double Crepe Bodycon Dress in black and naturally, the nation was inspired by her elegant look. The dress sold out almost immediately, with only a few lucky customers getting their hands on it, but much to our delight, M&S has now restocked it in an array of sizes.
The chic off-the-shoulder midi features a V-neck design with a fold down the bust, and provides a flattering silhouette thanks to its figure-hugging fit. And best of all? It is only priced at £55.
Like Meghan, you can match it with a pair of killer heels for the ultimate glam look. It is perfect for any evening occasions – from a cocktail party to a fancy dinner. If you like, you can even opt for a new camel version of the dress, though we must admit the black one is our personal favourite.
The dress is currently available in sizes 14 to 24 in black and 12 to 24 as well as a size 6 in camel. But as the first round of stock proved, they won’t last long, so you had better move fast.
Last week, it was confirmed that Meghan will be collaborating with Marks & Spencer, as well as some other UK high street retailers, to create a capsule collection of workwear.
The Duchess announced the news in the prestigious September issue of Vogue, which she guest-edited alongside editor Edward Enninful, explaining that the edit will benefit the charity Smart Works, of which she is a patron.
