Meghan Markle always looks immaculate, which is why we’re constantly wanting to imitate her chic looks.
But while it isn’t always possible due to the hefty price tag that come along with items by her favourite designers, the Duchess of Sussex does sport the odd affordable outfit – and this week is a prime example.
During her ongoing tour of South Africa with husband Prince Harry and adorable baby Archie, Meghan stepped out in a gorgeous camel-toned tux dress by high street retailer Banana Republic, and she looked incredible. Her skin was glowing with a natural make-up look, her hair was down and beautifully bouncy and she wore a pair of killer nude high heels to complete the look.
However, our eyes were firmly fixed on the chic dress – especially when we found out that it was still in stock.
Dubbed the ‘Double-Breasted Trench Dress’, the item is available on the Banana Republic website and in stores for £95, which is a small price to pay to look as chic as royalty. Plus, the dress comes in both the camel colour worn by Meghan and in white so you could make it your own by opting for an alternative shade.
Meghan wore the professional look as she attended a round-table discussion with the Association of Commonwealth Universities, where she is a patron. She met students and academics and engaged in a discussion about the challenges faced by young women in higher education.
It’s not the only amazing look Meghan has served during the trip; on Saturday, she wore a beautiful monochrome skirt by one of her favourite mid-range retailers, J Crew.
Meghan chose the outfit for an important meeting where she was accompanied by a range of women including an anti-apartheid activist, female parliamentarians, professors, educators and policy makers to discuss the rights of women in South Africa. However, as soon as she was pictured in it, it sold out completely – which doesn’t bode well for fans of the Banana Republic dress. Move quickly or miss out!
