High street retailers have officially marked the countdown to Christmas this week by releasing their annual Christmas adverts. From Aldi’s ‘Leafy Blinders’ to Amazon’s singing cardboard boxes and IKEA’s first ever festive ad, the creativity has certainly been taken up a notch this year.
However this year, Marks & Spencer’s offering seems to be the most talked about so far, and not just because of the actual advert, but rather an item of clothing we (and many others) have spied: the Christmas jumper at the centre of the campaign.
No Christmas ad would be complete without the festive essential, but in this year’s Marks & Spencer ad, the star of the show is wearing a chic piece of Christmas knitwear that we can’t take our eyes off – in fact, we want one for ourselves, and the good news is, that dream can quickly become reality.

The £25 roll neck jumper isn’t your usual full-on festive Christmas jumper. Instead, it features a fair isle pattern at the top while the rest is a soft blue colour, meaning that you can wear it all winter long and not just on Christmas Jumper Day.
It is first seen in the ad when the main character picks it out before she starts to dance to the famous House of Pain record ‘Jump Around’ – and when you look at the fun it then sparks in the clip, you might even be inspired to start your own dance party for Christmas this year.
The M&S Christmas advert jumper ticks all the three C’s – cosy, comfy and casual – and is perfect to snuggle up in on a cold winter day.
Available to purchase both online and in stores, it comes in sizes X-XL, and is still in stock (for now). Wear it with your favourite pair of trousers, throw it over a slip skirt or wrap up warm by bundling it under a coat – either way, get shopping because we guarantee it won’t be around for long.
