As if you didn’t know already, the Queen is celebrating her Platinum Jubilee this year – that’s 70 years on the throne! There are lots of events going on in the build up to the big day, culminating in a long weekend starting on Thursday 2 June, thanks to the extra bank holiday the Queen is gifting us so we can celebrate the momentous occasion in proper fashion.
There are also a slew of jubilee-themed merchandise and memorabilia being released – such as this stunning Emma Bridgewater collection – and, never one to miss a trick, British stalwart Marks & Spencer is getting in on the action too. There are plenty of M&S jubilee-themed treats to enjoy, of both the edible and drinkable varieties – from adorable corgi biscuits to a limited edition British strawberry gin liqueur and some very special mini jubilee Connie the Caterpillars.
If you’re planning a Platinum Jubilee street party or picnic, M&S should be your first port of call for regal treats and sips…
M&S Jubilee-themed food and drink
The latest drop of Jubilee-themed products from M&S include a giant Honey Roast Ham Sausage Roll, which will be in store from 1 June but is available to buy online now, as well mini sausage rolls to mark 70 years of the Queen’s reign.
From the 1 June, you’ll also find adorable Caramel Corgi Mousse Cakes in store, and Coronation Spatchcock Chicken, Quiche Bites and Sausages. M&S shared that it will also be selling Queen’s Guard Cheese Truckles, a Jubilee Ham & Egg Sandwich and Corgi Gingerbread.
Platinum Jubilee cakes
If you haven’t yet tried a Yumnut, this is the excuse you need to do so. M&S has revamped its yum yum and doughnut hybrid for the Jubilee. It’s topped with crunchy biscuit pieces, raspberry and meringue – ‘fit for a Queen’ according to Marks.
Just when you thought you’d seen it all, along comes a corgi version of M&S’s famous Colin the Caterpillar cake. The perfect centrepiece for your Jubilee table? We think so. Buy them for £12 here.
