Hands up if you remember MAC Hyper Real foundation? For many beauty junkies, the formula was their go-to base, and were heartbroken when it was discontinued several years ago.
If you loved and lost your bottle back in the day, brace yourself from some seriously good news, as the brand have confirmed that it will be returning to stores from 2nd August. And if you’re not already familiar? Let us introduce you…
MAC Hyper Real Foundation originally achieved holy grail status thanks to its lightweight, dewy finish, subtle shimmer and serious staying power, with many praising in particular its ability to make the wearer look glowing and airbrushed in photographs.
‘This was my first MAC foundation ever and I loved it,’ wrote one disappointed fan of the product. ‘This stuff works really well. It does have shimmer in it and you will look glittery if you dont apply it right. I find a stippling brush is best for this foundation. I’m so upset that they discontinued this product because I really really love this stuff.’
‘This says exactly what it does, hyper real effects, without being too “made up”,’ another agreed. ‘It gives my skin a healthy glow, no greasy shiny t-zone after a few hours.’Fortunately, the new versions look like they’ll be just as gorgeous. here are four colours to choose from: Gold FX, a pale yellow gold, Violet FX, a light pinky violet, Rose Gold FX, a rose gold pearl, and Bronze FX, a golden bronze pearl, and each one will be priced at £26.
The relaunch of Hyper Real also sees the arrival of three other products at MAC: Grand Illusion Glossy Liquid Lipcolour, Dazzleshadow Liquid and two shades of Loose Iridescent Powder.
The collections will be available in stores from 2nd August at maccosmetics.co.uk and all MAC locations – but move quickly, as the foundation and powder are all limited edition shades.
