Can you ever go wrong with a floral midi dress? From looking at Lorraine Kelly’s latest look, we’d say a definitive no.
The star took to the set of her daytime ITV show on Monday 16 December wearing a red wrap dress with a mix of both animal and floral prints, and viewers couldn’t wait to compliment her on the super-chic outfit.
‘You look wonderful today ?,’ said one viewer, while a second agreed that the piece was ‘absolutely stunning ?’, and several others posted that the ensemble was ‘beautiful’, ‘lovely’ and ‘gorgeous’. You get the idea: it was a major hit, leaving us wondering where Lorraine had managed to find such a universally-adored gem.
Luckily for us, the 60-year-old is big believer in sharing, and so revealed on her Instagram account that the dress was actually from Wallis, a reliable stalwart that’s been on the high street for years.
What’s more, even though Christmas sale season has yet to hit, the brand has already launched a selection of seasonal discounts, meaning that you can currently get 20 per cent off the presenter’s on-trend pick.
The beauty of the buy is that it’s festive enough to wear for Christmas parties, but will still serve you well long after the decorations have been packed away. Team it with coordinating heels like Lorraine (hers are from Ted Baker, but sadly don’t appear to be available online), or keep it cosy with knee-high boots and your trusty winter coat. It’ll take you from the office to after-work drinks to lunch with friends and back again, all for an impressively purse-friendly price.
Speaking to YOU about her fashion and beauty secrets back in October, Lorraine mused: ‘Forget a Chanel handbag: the best accessory a woman can have is inner confidence, which shines above all else.
‘I’ve known girls who can walk into a room and every pair of eyes is on them. They may not be the most traditionally beautiful women there, but they will have a unique quality – such as the ability to make people laugh – and that’s what makes them so attractive.’
We’d definitely count Ms Kelly amongst them – but a fab dress never hurt anyone, either.
