Lorraine just wore a pair of £15 trousers and they’re still in stock

What’s better than a major fashion bargain? A bargain you can add to the trolley while you’re doing the weekly shop, that’s what.

Lorraine Kelly, one of our many on-screen ITV style icons, appeared on the set of her eponymous show on Wednesday wearing a pair of outrageously affordable trousers from Sainsbury’s very own TU clothing range, inspiring copycat purchases across the country.

The presenter teamed the classic tapered trousers with a blouse from Debenhams, but the real star of the show was her choice of £15 supermarket trousers. The outfit won Lorraine countless compliments, with one fan commenting on Instagram: ‘You haven’t put a foot wrong with your outfits since your return! Classy and they really suit your figure.’

‘Really like this more casual look,’ another viewer agreed, while a third said: ‘Love this outfit! What style of Tu trousers are they please!’

Several outlets have reported that Lorraine’s trousers are the black tapered leg style, judging from the clean lines of the silhouette – a truly versatile piece that will take you from the office to drinks to parties and back again, and will never go out of style.

Whether you take inspiration from Lorraine and team yours with a chic tie-necked blouse, go casual with a crisp white tee and coordinating trainers, or tuck in your favourite knitwear and boots, they’ll be the gift to your wardrobe that keeps on giving.

However, if you’re more a dress person, you should know that this isn’t the only inexpensive find the star has alerted us to in recent weeks. She recently appeared on Lorraine in a cool star print midi that’s on sale for just £26, down from its original price of £46.
