Lorraine’s Monsoon shirt dress is perfect for this unpredictable weather

Lorraine Kelly always brightens up our mornings with her on-screen presence – but with her latest bright and beautiful outfit, she’s taken things to the next level.

The presenter hit the set of her eponymous programme Lorraine on Monday wearing a cobalt blue shirt dress with black buttons, teamed with simple coordinating black heels from Daniel Footwear, and it was a look that won her endless compliments from fans.

‘Stunning Lorraine,’ applauded one follower on her Instagram account, while another agreed ‘Love this dress and fab colour’.

Fortunately, as Lorraine herself mentioned in the caption for her outfit of the day picture, the dress is #highstreetfashion, meaning it won’t break the bank for you to copy her casual style. In fact, you can pick the dress up now online and in-store at Monsoon for just £65.

‘Our Aster midi dress is an effortless piece to style,’ the brand says. ‘Created with utility-chic influences, this design boasts a shirt collar, patch pockets and epaulettes, along with large button fastenings for an on-trend aesthetic.’

The piece is ideal for the transeasonal weather we’ve been experiencing in the UK of late – while the sun is still shining, you make like Lorraine and wear it with bare legs, but it would also work with tights, boots and your favourite jacket if the temperatures drop back down.

Lorraine, who celebrates her 60th birthday in November this year, told YOU previously that her style has evolved with age.

‘I was a very late bloomer,’ she admitted. ‘I have my mother to thank for my skin and cheekbones, but the rest of it is down to the fact that in my 50s I have confidence, plus I’m more styled so I appear put-together.’

‘I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve seen old photos and had to apologise for my hideous hairdo and the fact I look like I dressed from the washing basket,’ she added – but judging from her most recent fashion choices, that’s definitely not the case anymore.
