Elizabeth Hurley’s son Damian has launched his modelling career and naturally, his solo debut came in the form of a global beauty campaign for none other than Pat McGrath.
The 17-year-old, who had his first professional shoot as YOU‘s cover star alongside his mother last year, is the new face of the beauty mogul’s latest launch and it is safe to say that the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree – he looks incredible.
In fact, he is the spitting image of Liz (high cheekbones and all), meaning this is surely only just the start of a stellar modelling career for the teenager, who has been signed to model agency Tess Management – the same agency as his mother.
The campaign, which promotes Pat McGrath’s hotly anticipated first foundation line dropped on Wednesday and starred Damien among a host of other young talents including Sonjdra Deluxe, Violet Chachki and Zhengyang Zhang. However, it is clear who steals the show.
Speaking of her exciting new launch, McGrath said: ‘To realise a campaign with Steven Meisel is a monumental moment – and an incredible visual culmination of my body of work. To have Meisel’s fierce and disruptive aesthetic, eye for fresh talent, and prolific, unparalleled approach to beauty is a dream come true.’
She added: ‘It is an honour and a privilege to introduce my first foundation skin system to the world via a campaign by the legendary Steven Meisel. Working with our amazing cast including Sonjdra, Damian, Violet, Zheng, Shanelle, Blesnya and Primrose, has been simply magical and made this set so fun and easy – being surrounded by a luminary line up of divine beauties who are McGrath Muses.’
The shoot marks Damian’s first official campaign, but he’s certainly no stranger to on-set life. He previously had a recurring acting role alongside his mother in The Royals, the fabulously melodramatic US soap opera about a fictional British royal family in which his mother plays Queen Helena.
‘He loves reading scripts, running through everyone’s lines and soaking it all up,’ Liz said in the pair’s cover interview with YOU. ‘The role of Prince Hansel from Liechtenstein was specially written for him and I was amazed at just how good he was.’
So, perhaps we can expect to see him on the big screen soon too?
